The Card Shop

The Side Quest sells trading card products in-store. We sell booster packs for Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Riftbound and more.
New to a game? Borrow a ready-to-play deck below and we'll teach you the basics.

We're a play-first shop, so packs are meant to be opened and enjoyed here at the table. Anyone can buy a booster pack. If Play + Booster you can buy a second pack (must actually play in store).

Midweek Nexus Nights

Wednesdays · Starting Aug 5, 2026 · 6:00pm

Our weekly constructed Riftbound tournament. Bring your best deck and prove your strategy on the battlefield. Entry is $6. New to the game? Come aboard anyway. You can jump into the fight or just watch and learn the ropes.

One Piece Tournament Night

Fridays · 6:30pm

Our weekly constructed One Piece tournament. Bring your best deck and set sail for prizes, with prize support included in every event. Entry is $10. New to the game? Come aboard anyway. You can jump into the fight or just watch and learn the ropes.

Decks You Can Check Out

Curious about a card game but not ready to spend on cards? Borrow one of our ready-to-play decks, learn the ropes, and see if it's for you. No collection required, and we're happy to teach you the basics. It's the library way: try anything, then decide what you love.

Deck checkout works like borrowing any game from our shelves: it's included with the regular $12 library cover.

Riftbound

Borrow a champion deck and jump straight in. We have three:

Magic: The Gathering

Beginner boxes, a co-op game, and ready-to-play Commander decks, all free to borrow and play here:

  • Avatar: The Last Airbender Beginner Box, a 2-player intro that teaches the game with Aang and Zuko starter decks
  • Foundations Beginner Box, a 2-player starter set built for brand-new players
  • TMNT Turtle Team-Up, a standalone co-op game for 2 to 4 players (about 45 minutes). You team up as the four Turtles against the game itself, and it doubles as a great way to learn Magic.
  • Commander decks, four ready-to-play decks for a multiplayer Commander game: Tidus, Cloud, Terra, and Y'shtola

One Piece Card Game

  • Learn Together Deck Set, a 2-player intro that teaches the game with Luffy and Zoro starter decks. Includes a Nami deck to try when you're done with the tutorial.
